Common Help

My data is missing

RaceMetric stores data locally on your device. If the app is deleted, device data is wiped, or a TestFlight build is replaced, local data may be removed. Use Setup > Export full backup before changing devices or reinstalling where possible.

Logger import does not read my file

RaceMetric currently supports UniPro TSV exports. Other logger formats, including Alfano, may need a sample file before support can be mapped safely.

Why does RaceMetric ask for location?

Location is optional and is used for circuit/session location features. RaceMetric does not use background location tracking.

Why does RaceMetric ask for Motion & Fitness?

Motion & Fitness is optional and is used to show daily step count on the dashboard. Steps do not affect the driver rating.

Why does RaceMetric ask for photo-library access?

Photo-library access is optional and is used when you choose a dashboard logo, driver image, or coach video.

Why does RaceMetric ask for notifications?

Notifications are optional and are used for local race-weekend and planned-session reminders.
